How to Change the Air Conditioner Display on a 2004-2010 Toyota Sienna From Metric to English

We jumped in the van this morning and came to discover that somehow the air conditioner on our 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE was displaying Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.  That’s weird to look at!  Is 23 degrees hot or cold?  Who knows!  I looked all over the face of the climate control system control panel and couldn’t find anything that looked like an English to Metric button.  It’s a simple fix but I didn’t figure it out till I got home.

Equipment:

Step 1: (and the only step) Press the “E/M” button on the top left side of the Multi-Information display above the rear view mirror.

It’s not intuitive that these two systems would be linked (and that the AC’s button would be on the ceiling) but they are.  Pressing the E/M button once switches both the A/C display and the top display back and forth from English to Metric.
